We Think Local

Fernie Brewing Co. likes to think local.  We like to eat local.  And we especially love to drink local.  So, with local love in mind as well as some fine festive frivolities, we’ve recently partnered with a prolific local company, joined forces with some local initiatives and excitedly have an increasing FBC presence at Fernie Alpine Resort.

Sap Sucker Season

(Fernie, BC) – As temperatures plummet and down booties become your closest alliance, panic not, the FBC team are here to warm the cockles of your heart.  Fresh off the back of our recent Pumpkin Head – Pumpkin Brown Ale seasonal success, our brewers donned their inventive brewing thinking caps and came up with another tasty treat.

Got Your Pumpkin Head?

(Fernie, BC) – Fernie Brewing Co.’s cauldrons are all of a bubble this Fall.  But aiming to tickle your taste buds rather than send you screaming through the halls, we’ve replaced eye of newt and toe of frog, with the more familiar and popular aromas of organic pumpkin and seasonal spices.  The result is pretty darn tasty.  Even if we do say so our self.

FBC Wins Two Medals at the Canadian Brewing Awards

(Fernie, BC) –  Fernie Brewing Company, walked away with Two Medals at the 2008 Canadian Brewing Awards, held in Toronto, ON.  This year was the 6th Annual Competition with 50 breweries and 239 individual beers entered.  The Canadian Brewing Awards are recognized as the premiere competition for judging the quality of Canadian-Brewed beer.

What the Huck!

Fernie Brewing Company Crafts a Huckleberry Wheat Beer for this Summer Season

(Fernie, BC) – To celebrate summer & our wild Huckleberry picking season, Fernie Brewing Company has come up with a delicious Huckleberry Wheat Beer called ‘What the Huck’.

Native to the Rocky Mountain region, the Huckleberry is prized for its sweetness and deep colour.  When blended with wheat, it creates a smooth and creamy beer, with a light touch of huckleberries.

We’re Brewing Up a Business!

(Fernie, BC) – Things at Fernie Brewing Company are busy!  In fact, so busy, that we had to build ourselves a new Brewhouse!  Fernie Brewing Company’s new Brewhouse is in the Ghostrider Subdivision, at 26 Manitou Road on the East side of Fernie.  The new location is triple the size of their previous space with new Fermentation tanks for increased production.  A state of the art water filtration system has been installed.
