A new year calls for a new Cheers to Charity recipient!
Following three months as our Cheers to Charity recipient, with the help of our community we raised a total of $3,393.50 for the Uplift Community Association via our Cheers to Charity Sample Flights.
Uplift is a heartfelt hub, with the goal of coming together to provide community support in a mindful and meaningful way. Using the funds raised through our Cheers to Charity program, Uplift hopes to continue supporting parents throughout the Elk Valley through a number of services, while further supporting individuals and families toward independence, as well as their own personal ideas of success, positivity, quality of life, and enjoyment.
Following the recent donation to the Uplift Community Association, the sum of Cheers to Charity donations to date sits at $176,515.83. The entire FBC team thanks all those who have come through the Tasting Room doors and helped us raise funds for so many deserving community organizations throughout the years!
Up next on our Cheers to Charity board, is the Fernie Snowmobile Association. The Fernie Snowmobile Association was formed as a unified voice for riders to maintain, protect, and secure winter motorized recreation opportunities for the future of our community and it’s visitors.
Working hard alongside user groups, commercial businesses and government agencies, the Fernie Snowmobile Association strives to ensure balanced land use agreements to establish a safe and enjoyable mountain experience for all backcountry users, while providing over 5,000km of renowned winter trail grooming, 3 backcountry warming shelters, 5 staging areas, trail signage, safety programs, family friendly events, and more!
Until mid-February, all proceeds from our Cheers to Charity sample flights will be going towards the Fernie Snowmobile Association, at which point we’ll be switching things up again to raise funds for another deserving local organization.
