A new season calls for a brand new Cheers to Charity recipient!
After being on our Cheers to Charity board from August 9th to September 30th, we managed to raise an amazing total of $4,497.75 for Twin Meadows Animal Rescue Society! On top of the funds collected through our program, many visitors pitched in additional donations, bringing the total donated amount to a whopping $4,687.75!
These funds raised via our Cheers to Charity sample flights will be going towards Twin Meadows Animal Rescue Society’s efforts to better the lives of displaced, stray, and at-risk animals through veterinary care, rehabilitation, and re-homing. These funds will specifically be helping TMARS with ongoing vet bills, fulfilling the need for foster homes, and finding permanent adopters for their furry pals.
The sum of our Cheers to Charity donations now sits at an incredible $197,765.08 – a total that wouldn’t be possible without the help of our generous, beer-loving community. Thank you to everyone who has helped make these donations possible over the years! The Fernie Skateboard Club is dedicated to gaining local support to generate extra funding for a new skatepark facility in Fernie, in addition to the existing federal grant. This amazing organization stands behind an ethos of equality and progression in a supportive, inclusive and encouraging environment.
The creation of the Fernie Skate Park ultimately seeks to foster lasting improvements in our local community, with an emphasis on supporting and empowering youth through special events and day-to-day social interaction. Proceeds from our Cheers to Charity flights will be going towards the Fernie Skateboard Club’s ongoing efforts to make the Fernie Skate Park dream a reality!
