With the month of May in the rear view, we’re wrapping up three stellar months of Cheers to Charity donations to Kootenay Canine SAR – a member of the Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dogs Association (CARDA).

An organization near and dear to us, CARDA is a volunteer non profit charitable organization who has made it their mission to train and maintain a network of highly efficient avalanche search and rescue teams across Canada.

While donations were disrupted last March due to COVID-19, we made sure to put this amazing local organization back on the Recipient Board when we relaunched our Cheers to Charity Tap this past March. Since then, you’ve helped us raise $2,202.25 for CARDA, resulting in $3,489.25 donated since 2020, and a grand total of $160,882.08 raised for charity thus far!

For the month of June, we will be donating all Cheers to Charity proceeds to Fernie Friends for Friends.

Fernie Friends for Friends is the only recipient that appears on our board annually, and it’s for a very good reason. They have offered invaluable financial and emotional support to so many Fernie individuals, and their families, going through cancer treatment over the years. Including our past Brewmaster, Gord Demaniuk.

With patio weather upon us, and Cheers to Charity sample flights back on the menu, there’s no better way to spend an afternoon than knocking back a cold one for charity.
