Is it just us, or has this summer been flying by…

With June having all to quickly turned into July, it’s time we switch over our Cheers to Charity recipient, once again.

Thanks to your support for our Cheers to Charity sample flights, we managed to raise a total of $1,399.75 for Fernie Friends for Friends throughout the month of June. This brings our total Cheers to Charity donations up to $162,281,83 to date.

As our only reccurring recipient, we’ll be seeing Fernie Friends for Friends back on the Cheers to Charity board in June 2021, as a way of honouring the legacy of our past Brewmaster, Gord Demaniuk. Until then, we’d like to raise yet another glass to Fernie Friends for Friends, for continually offering much needed financial and emotional support to our family, friends, and neighbours. We’re blessed to have such an amazing non-profit available to the members of our community!

Now up on the Cheers to Charity board is Cycling Without Age Fernie – a local organization that takes seniors and those with limited mobility out for rides in special bikes called trishaws. Piloted by a rider who pedals the bike from behind, with assistance from an electric motor, the program allows passengers to once again feel the wind in their hair, free of charge.

All proceeds from our Cheers to Charity sample flights will be going towards Cycling Without Age until the end of July, at which point we’ll be switching over to another deserving organization
