As a chance to thank and celebrate our supportive local community, we’re launching the first beer in our new, exclusive and local series Friday November 12th. As passionate about brewing great beer as we are about our small mountain town, the Discovery Series will be available locally only, in small quantities, with an innovative, new brew dropping in our Tasting Room every few months.
The Discovery Series will be made up of experimental brews, serving as an opportunity for our Brew Team to show their creativity, while giving us the chance to offer up something special to those that walk through the Tasting Room doors.
Adding to this series’ local flair, we’re using images taken by local amateur photographers to be featured as a key part of the can design – showcasing our amazing mountain town and local talent. 
BEER NO.1: BEST BITTER
The No.1 brew in this series is a Best Bitter, which will be available in our Tasting Room as of Friday November 12th from 12PM.
A beer style which our Brewers have long been excited to brew, the Best Bitter is a light beer, brewed with a range of malts including Amber malt and Maris Otter Pale Ale, along with Fuggles and Celeia hops. Boasting a balanced bitterness and medium body, expect a refreshing low-ABV brew, complemented by low carbonation and a delicious malty flavour.
To pair with its November launch, the featuring photo pays homage to those famous Fernie powder days and is taken by local photographer, Dale Montgomerie @Dalemontphoto.
As a small-batch, single brew, our Discovery Series Best Bitter will be available for a limited time via our Tasting Room in tall cans and on tap, as well as at local Fernie liquor stores.

Beer No.2 photo submissions are open from Friday November 5th, until Friday November 19th. You must have full legal rights to all photos submitted and must be of legal drinking age.
