Ringing in Spring with a new Cheers to Charity recipient

Written by Fernie Brewing Co.

With Spring just around the corner, we thought we’d ring in the change of season with an exciting Cheers to Charity switchover!

After a month and a half of snowy days and plenty of apres, we managed to raise a total of $2,838.00 for the Fernie Snowmobile Association through our Cheers to Charity sample flights!

the Fernie snowmobile club accepts a donation cheque in front of the BreweryFormed as a unified voice for riders, the Fernie Snowmobile Association will be using these funds to maintain, protect, and secure winter motorized recreation opportunities for the future of our community and it’s visitors, by providing over 5,000km of winter trail grooming, 3 back-country warming shelters, 5 staging areas, trail signage, safety programs, family friendly events, and more!

Following this donation to the Fernie Snowmobile Club, the sum of our Cheers to Charity donations to date now sits at $179,353.83. The entire FBC crew would like to extend a huge thank you to our community and visitors for making these donations to local organizations possible!

Next up on the Cheers to Charity board is our cutest recipients to date, the Fernie Pets Society! Founded in 2011 to help reunite lost and found pets with their families, the society has since expanded its role in the community with the Spay + Neuter Incentive program, and is responsible for the development and management of the Railyard Off-leash Dog Park.

All proceeds from our Cheers to Charity flight sales will be heading towards the Fernie Pets Society until the end of March, when we’ll be switching things over to another deserving local organization! So come on down to our Tasting Room this month, and ring in the Spring with a refreshing flight in the name of charity!
