Continuing an exciting month full of new beer releases, on Thursday, February 17th, we bring you Brew No.2 in our locally exclusive Discovery Series. This time, a Schwarzbier. 
ABOUT THE DISCOVERY SERIES
Our Discovery Series serves as an opportunity for our Brew Team to show their creativity, while giving us the chance to offer up something special to those that walk through the Tasting Room doors. Available locally only, in small quantities, with an innovative, new brew dropping in our Tasting Room every few months, these brews are our way of thanking and celebrating our supportive local community.
Adding to this series’ local flair, we source images taken by local amateur photographers to be featured as a key part of the can design – showcasing our amazing mountain town and local talent. It’s a win/win.
MEET BEER NO.2: SCHWARZBIER
Available in our Tasting Room on Tap and in 4-packs as of Thursday February 17th from 12pm.
Brewed with seven specialty malts including Weyermann Pilsner and Blackprinz, expect deliciously subtle chocolate flavours from this dark, malty Lager. An addition of Perle and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops adds light floral hop character, making for a refreshingly clean Lager.
To pair with its February launch, the can features a snowy aerial shot of Fernie, with the iconic Three Sisters and Mount Fernie in the background, taken by local photographer, Danyal Taylor @danyaltaylor.
As a small-batch, single brew, our Discovery Series Schwarzbier will be available for a limited time via our Tasting Room in tall cans and on tap, as well as at local Fernie liquor stores. While there are no friends on a powder day, rumour has it, there may well be no friends on local series launch day – so be sure to swing by the Brewery to get that rope drop and discover it for yourself!
