We’re switching things up… Introducing our latest launch, Inverted West Coast IPA.
The newest addition to our IPA Series, Inverted is a traditional West Coast IPA. Full of flavour yet refreshingly light, it’s the perfect patio pint – sitting at just 5.5% ABV with an IBU of 50.
“We wanted to brew something light, but very hop forward…Something a little lighter now that the weather’s nice,” said Brewery Operations Manager, Jeff Demaniuk.
Our first brew to use the exciting Talus hop, you can expect prominent and refreshing grapefruit flavours, brushed with notes of tropical fruit, dried roses, and sage.
“We were really interested in using Talus hops… It’s a really interesting hop with a lot of grapefruit, and some people get a little bit of watermelon and almost a bit of pineapple too,” added Jeff.
While this beer was heavy on the Talus hop, our brewers also added a touch of Mosaic hop to the mix.
When it comes to malts, quite a variety were used to make this brew, including 2 Row Pale, Vienna, Malted Wheat, Malted Oats and Acidulated Malt.
“We used a bit of oats in there to give it a bit of body, not make it too thin, and then Vienna Malt to give it a bit of malt flavour but not a ton of colour,” said Jeff. In short, a light-coloured, clean IPA.
