GALLERY ROOM 20TH ANNI EXHIBIT

20 years on since opening our doors on Dicken Road, we kicked off the celebrations with the opening of the 20th Anniversary Exhibit in our Gallery Room.

The exhibit reflects on where we started, highlights some key moments along the way, and looks at where we are today. It sure has been an action-packed journey. One of which we couldn’t have done without the support of our customers, accounts, and amazing staff. We thank each and every one of you.

The exhibit is remaining up until early 2024, so come by, grab a beer, and enjoy a taste of our past in our Gallery Room – conveniently just off our Tasting Room.

LIMITED EDITION 20TH ANNI MERCH

While celebrations were in full swing at the Brewery, we launched our limited edition 20th Anni merch so folks could join in the fun and share some FBC love.

Featuring our wicked 20th Anniversary Logo, we launched a classic navy tee, a cozy, retro-inspired cardinal crewneck, a sweet 3-pin pack, a wee 20th Anni sticker and more.

Keen to get your hands on some of this merch? We still have a few pieces in stock, but hop to it because once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.

WIN A TRIP TO FERNIE

In May we gave away a sweet weekend trip to Fernie for two featuring:

Won by a former Fernie local, she and her daughter enjoyed a sweet mother-daughter weekend in the town they used to call home.

TRAIL TO ALE BONUS PEAK

To keep the local stoke going and give folks even more of a challenge, we added a bonus peak to our Trail to Ale Challenge for the 2023 season: S*Bomb.

Anyone who successfully bagged S*Bomb within the same 24-hour period as Hyperventilation, Project 9, and Swine Flu was entered into a draw to win $500 in gift cards split between Straight Line Bicycles and FBC.

At the end of the epic season, we tallied up 1,056 Trail to Ale’ers and 199 bonus peak super-keeners.

Cheers to Pat, who won the bonus peak grand prize, and everyone else who took part and shared the stoke.

LOGO BY FBC

Marking the halfway point of our 20th anni year, we launched LOGO™ by FBC, mountain-brewed, non-alcoholic craft beer that goes the distance.

Offering two beer styles, LOGO™ sets the standard for mountain-brewed, adventure-inspired, non-alcoholic craft beer.

Light and clean, with slight malt flavour, our non-alc Pils is a classic, go-to for the adventure lifestyle enthusiast. While our non-alc Hazy IPA is an accessible, hop-forward option that ensures no-one gets left behind.

FBC X FPS COLLABS

In September, we teamed up with the Fernie Pride Society (FPS) for two collaborations to celebrate the Elk Valley Pride Festival: Crafted with Pride merch and an FBC x FPS Pride Brew.

FBC put out a call to the 2SLGBTQ+ community in the Elk Valley for original designs and Julianna Weldon answered. Julianna, FBC and FPS teamed up and released a limited edition Crafted with Pride tee and tote, with all profits from sales of the merch being donated to FPS.

The FBC x FPS Pride Brew was a Hibiscus Rose Ale with a silky body, a tart, cranberry-like flavour and a light floral aroma, brewed with the help of a few FPS board members!

FBC’S 20TH ANNI RETRO PACK

Nearing the end of our 20th anni year, we decided to go a little retro with our 20th Anni Retro Pack.

We brought back some age-old favourites from the past 20 years of brewing beers. Paying homage to FBC’s history, the Retro Pack contained 4 classic FBC brews, with each can design from a different era.

Featuring two cans of each – the original Rocky Mountain Genuine Lager, legendary Griz Pale Ale, iconic Lone Wolf IPA and vintage Rusty Tractor Weizenbock.

FBC X GIV’ER MERCH COLLAB

To celebrate a great local partnership, we put our heads together with Giv’Er Shirt Works, another sweet local business born in Fernie way back in 2003, to create an FBC x Giv’er tote.

Featuring the iconic Giv’Er fist and our much-loved flagship brew P9 Pils, this canvas tote is perfect for beer, merch, and more beer. To keep the local love going, all the profits from this limited edition tote are going straight to the Fernie Foodbank.

Cheers to 20 years of great beer and wicked merch!

VOLKL P9 PILS

With Volkl celebrating 100 years and FBC celebrating 20 years (in case you hadn’t heard yet), we came together to celebrate our shared passion for adventure-inspired mountain living and high-quality products.

Cheers to Volkl P9 Pils. Our multi-award-winning P9 Pils got all dressed up, available as a limited edition 4-pack exclusively in our Tasting Room.

DISCOVERY SERIES BREW NO. 7

After Discovery Series brews 1-6 featured the work of local photographers and artists, we switched things up for brew No. 7!

This time around we’re focusing on why we started this series in the first place – to give our talented brewers the chance to explore new styles, techniques and recipes.

This Berliner Weisse is a wheat beer style hailing from Northern Germany. With a light body and a crisp, citrusy finish, this brew boasts a predominant lactic acid character from the bacteria used in the souring process. Don’t underestimate this cloudy, sour beer – it’s low in alcohol but packs a serious sour punch.
